The Feast of the East is a community celebration that highlights the unique character of East Arlington and its many restaurants, specialty shops and other businesses. All Arlington businesses are invited to join in the fun.

East Arlington’s merchants and restaurants invite everyone to this free event that celebrates this unique neighborhood. Many of East Arlington’s 130 businesses will have sidewalk sales, giveaways, and other promotions. Local restaurants will cook and serve food outdoors. In addition, there will be free popcorn, slush, and cotton candy. more info

East Arlington will be Romancing the Square this Valentine’s Day weekend with a series of events that will inspire as much love for your surroundings as for the people who surround you.

Kicking off on Friday, February 12, a series of events and specials in Capitol Square will celebrate the mysteries of love and art. Exhibits will be found in galleries and restaurants and several other venues. Capitol Square, East Arlington’s business district, is a fun destination for great cinema, eclectic shopping, and scrumptious dining. Home to the Arlington Center for the Arts and a flourishing community of creative-minded businesses, Capitol Square nourishes the artistic inclinations in all of us.

The weekend will culminate with a raffle drawing for the “Whole Lotta Love from Capitol Square” gift basket – valued at over $600. Businesses are donating merchandise and gift certificates to the basket, which will be raffled off to benefit the Arlington Center for the Arts. Raffle tickets can be purchased at ACA and at ARTBEAT during the weekend, with the drawing on February 15th.

A gem in the heart of the Capitol Square, The Little Fox Resale shop is located inside the Fox Library and is open Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 2:30pm – 7:45pm and Thursdays 9am – Noon

The Little Fox is a non-profit resale shop with a wonderful array of children’s toys, books, games, clothes, infant equipment, and maternity wear. Proceeds benefit the Fox Library.

The Little Fox shop was founded in June, 2008 by Susan Dorson and Amy Weitzman. They love our local library “The Fox” and want to make sure it stays open for everyone to enjoy. Proceeds from the shop benefit the Fox Library. more info
